So, if you have been paying attention to what’s going on in congress, you might know about the Internet Blacklist Bill.  Well, that’s what the new logo and javascript overlay on this website is about.  Today, Congress will hold hearings on what could be the passing of this bill, which would block American access to many web sites which you may hold dear, such as youtube, facebook and twitter.  I am of the belief that the internet does not belong to anybody, and thus, cannot be legislated by anyone.  To think that America, land of the free would try to do such a thing is appalling.  So, go, click on the link, or click here or here to send emails to representatives, and also pass on the word to friends and family.  For one country to interfere with something they don’t solely own, such as the internet, is theft.

So, I’ve decided, as of late, to boycott all Lucasfilm/Lucasarts media. This comes after the recent release of the Blu-Ray version of Star Wars with countless edits in the usual fashion of Lucas as of late, that completely ruin the movies. Edits such as Darth Vader shouting the infamous “NOOOOO!” as he tosses the Emperor into the Death Star Reactor Shaft at the end of Return of the Jedi. I know, it is harsh, and maybe even rash, but I have come to this decision after much deliberation.  No, this does not mean I am no longer a Star Wars fan – I will just not support any official works; Fan Works are a whole different ballgame.

For those of you who are wondering, yes, this means I’m not playing the hyped upcoming MMORPG, Star Wars: The Old Republic.  I will not play this game, at least not until we receive what we all have wanted for years – Star Wars on Blu-Ray, unaltered except for conversion to HD goodness, for countless generations to enjoy Star Wars as it was meant to be seen.  I certainly hope this doesn’t come to bite me in the butt, for I was really hoping to play that game.  However, sacrifices must be made for the greater good.

Also, I invite you to join me in this protest (and boycott) of Uncle George’s destruction of the Star Wars genre.  We can only hope, that with more people involved, our voice will be heard.  Also, if I do have your support in this matter, please let me know (there’s a comment form down below), and let it spread like wildfire.
